Journey through my optical nerve

Observation Placement

My first placement is this Thursday, it’s only an observation, I don’t really get to do anything.

BUT I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

I will be at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
I don’t have speech pathology experience with children in an acute care setting, but I imagine it would not be too far off from acute care with really small adults.

Their services include:

  • Child Development
  • Child Advocacy Service
  • Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies
  • Cochlear Implant and Hearing Impairment
  • Feeding and swallowing disorders
  • Galactosaemia
  • Neonatal and Infant dysphagia
  • Oncology
  • Tracheostomy
  • Videofluoroscopy and Nasendoscopy assessment
  • Voice disorders
  • Modified Barium Swallow clinics
