My favourite student Aoun is 7 years old with Down Syndrome. He may not be the youngest, but he is the smallest out of the group. He is incredibly smart, adorable, and loves his siblings. In this class, we work on these children’s communication and teach them how to cook. Aoun is always saving food for his little sister! Today, our question was, “Do you have a ________ for a pet?” Aoun does not have any pets, but he told me when he gets older, his parents will let him have a hamster. I proceeded to ask, what would you name your hamster? And he said, “Jacqueline.” I died!
