I LOVE THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO
SO FRIGGIN’ MUCH!
Going to York has really made me appreciate my alma mater.
Administrative-wise, course selection, etc has been easier at York, but the overall facilities available have been sub-par.
Examples:
-no electrical outlets for laptops in class rooms
-extremely noisy libraries
-one-ply toilet paper
-snoopers in bathrooms
-only 3 libraries, most of which close at 10pm and barely open on weekends
-endangered feeling when walking on campus when it is dark
U of T really has much nicer and student friendly facilities.
-Robarts is open 24/7 sun-thurs pretty much all year round (except maybe in the summer)
-30 libraries
-many close at 11
-feel safe all the time
-coffee friendly
-lots of computers
Sure it is a much more difficult school, but it does provide students with the resources to maximize their time studying.
I’m weird, I need absolute silence to get any work done. There are far too many distractions at home to get anything done that I strongly require being in a quiet library setting to get work done.
Robarts and Gerstein library at UofT are open on family day, till 11pm, FUCK YES!
